Change of Leadership at the GCCA

After dedicating 12 years to the betterment of her community, a career change has compelled Elena Brady to resign from her position as President. Her relentless drive and energy will certainly be missed. We wish her every success in the future!

GCCA Vice President, Paula Cenci, has graciously agreed to accept the leadership role.

From Elena:

As some of you may already know, I have taken a position with Councilman Steven Matteo’s office. With this position comes the responsibility to act as a liaison between the 50th District and the civic associations. In order to maintain impartiality in the community, I have resigned from the position of president of the board of the Grant City Civic Association. This is effective January 1, 2015.
Over the past 12 years, I was very fortunate to serve as president of the civic with Grant City residents who have had a sincere concern for our community. Each board member has contributed to the vitality and structure of the civic and represented the community with dignity and grace. I am proud of the reputation we have built over the years, and enjoyed the fact that high ranking elected officials have used our meetings to make NYC policy announcements, provided guidance with agency assistance, and supported us when a community need arose.
The Grant City Civic Association has given us the ability to request changes in our community. The relationships we’ve nurtured over the years, built on mutual respect and admiration, have been the foundation of the effectiveness of the Grant City Civic. I want to thank you for maintaining your trust in me during my tenure. I wish you and the GCCA Board continued success.

Sincerely,

Elena Brady
