Unbuilt Highway De-Mapping and Land Transfer

As unbelievable as it may sound, this is still a fight left unfinished. Ten years ago, the GCCA threw its support behind this effort.

In 2008, it resurfaced, but to no avail.

A few weeks ago, this Assembly bill, and this Senate bill, were introduced.

Along with the effort to save Pouch Camp, a victory here would forever preserve the landscape of Staten Island. We can only keep our hopes up.
