We're Still Here !!!!
Superstorm/Hurricane Sandy crushed many residents of Grant City - to say the least. The storm surge reached well beyond Zone A, through Zone B, and into parts of Zone C.
This is an event that we'll be discussing for many years to come and hopefully learn some lessons on preventing a recurrence.
In the meantime, here's some good news:

Wearing Your Patriotism - Literally
Everyone should know who this guy is. You probably pass his artwork everyday.
He happened to be at The Corner House the night of our May meeting and graciously agreed to speak with us.

"Staten Island neighbors unite to fight drug plague"
From the SI Advance, 2/26/12:
"The people who lived in the houses around the Hunter Avenue office of Dr. Felix Lanting were reporting what they saw to anyone who would listen -- police, the media, the FBI. The investigation into Lanting took time, frustrating an increasingly irate group of neighbors who felt they were held hostage by the comings and going of his drug-addicted patients."
Unfortunately, matters of such serious nature take time to resolve.
